Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to propose a numerical solution of a complex mathematical model, design an algorithm, and implement it. Moreover, the code shall be tested and then applied to the model at hand. Moreover, a documentation shall be written. 

Subject of course

A project work is to be carried out in the field of Numerical Analysis. The subject of the work will be in the scope of the reaserch activities of the institute, for example numerical treatment of ODEs or PDEs, FFT, etc. Emphasis will be on the computer implementation.
