  • design introductory situations in the tutorial.

  • explain the basics of successful lecturing, presenting, and moderating.

Subject of course

This course is designed to support tutors in planning, holding, and revising tutorials. Tutors are given the basic tools they need to successfully start or deepen their tutoring activities. 

The following topics are covered:

  • Quality criteria for tutorials,
  • Planning tutorials,
  • The first tutorial unit - ways to get started,
  • Motivating and activating students,
  • Rhetoric and presentation techniques,
  • Principle of minimal aid
