  • explain the concept of diversity as well as historical, legal and sociopolitical developments and the basics of diversity management
  • name and explain different dimensions of diversity
  • know about best practices of diversity management in companies
  • research, analyze and present diversity aspects in their own field of study

Introduction to diversity management (historical development, sociopolitical context, legal bases, organisational incorporation, etc.), Dimensions of diversity, diversity management in practice, aspects of diversity in different disciplines of students

"This course is part of the basic module of the additional certificate "Gender and Diversity Competence". More information about the certificate can be found here."

With the Gender and Diversity Competence Certificate, graduates demonstrate their competence in taking gender and diversity aspects into account.

Prerequisite for the issuance of the certificate is the completion of courses from the following list in the amount of at least 16 ECTS.

Three courses amounting to 7 ECTS must be completed; for the remaining 9 ECTS, all courses from the list "Optional Courses" can be selected.
