The intended learning outcomes in detail:

After successful completion of the course ...

1. participants are able to describe constructivist models of learning and their implications for lifelong learning:
2. participants are aware of the existence of individual learning habits and can describe their implications for lifelong learning;
3. participants are able to describe the function of enabling competences in a concept of lifelong learning;
4. participants are able to describe the resulting consequences (of 3) to be derived for the organization of learning processes in a LLL approach in contrast to traditional educational concepts;
5. participants are able to argue for the need for different teaching styles for different target groups (e.g. adult vs. youth, hearning impaired vs. normal hearing);
6. participants are able to describe the potentials and limitations of technology enhanced learning and online communication;
7. participants are able to present the results of their learning in an understandable way.

Participants will develop a game that reveals the effects of different influences on an individual's educational biography. The basic structure is designed as a board game, but a computer-based edition is also possible.

The specific contents of the examination result primarily from the intended learning outcomes mentioned above. Individual priorities and case studies complement the central theoretical issues.

The course combines face-to-face meetings with phases of self-regulated learning (= blended learning). All face-to-face meetings take place on Tuesdays from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. (details see below).

It is possible that not all fixed dates will be realized as a presence event.

The participants will work as far as possible in teams of two.

Location: Teaching Support Center, 1040 Wien, Gusshausstrasse 28, 1st floor, Seminarraum. The face-to-face meetings represent appr. 40 to 60 % of the workload. Between the blocks you will work self-directedly doing (internet) research, writing concepts and reports, preparing presentations, etc.

All written work can be done in German or English.
