Aim of course

Theoretical foundations and algorithms for handling nonlinear mechanical problems with the Finite Element method.

Subject of course

Fundamentals of nonlinear continuum mechanics, variational principles, incremental-iterative solution procedures, nonlinear stability analyses, elastic-plastic computations.
