Aim of course

The aim of the course is to give insights on the possibilities of the use of 3D image processing, especially in practical, industrial applications. Accompanying the lecture here practice oriented problems, such as imaging geometry, lighting, ambient lighting and the like will be shown on the example of real hands on examples. For 3D orientation, the software product Raindrop Geomagic Studio 10 is presented as professional 3D data editing program. Exercise groups of 2 people try to solve the 3d object modeling of a selected object from scanning to the final 3d model under supervision of tutors. Two different types of scanners are used, the Minolta triangulationscanner and the Riegl Time of Flight (ToF) scanner, where in the laboratory exercise only one of the scanners is used by group. The scanning held will be blocked (late April).
